Wine Review: This dark ink colored Tempranillo from Rioja opens with an inviting ripe plum bouquet with hints of black raspberry, tarragon and oak. On the palate, it is medium bodied, smooth, crisp and juicy. The tannins and acidity are light and well-integrated and balanced. The flavor profile is a blend of plum, black raspberry, cherry and strawberry with hints of blueberry, oak, tarragon and vanilla. The refreshing finish fades away nicely. This very good value wine went well with my fettuccine carbonara. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: Intense red fruit and spicy aroma with delicate licorice hints. Complex, well-balanced while fresh and fruity. This Tempranillo is extremely versatile thanks to its medium tannin content and bright acidity. A perfect match for "Mediterranean cuisine" such as fried fish or vegetable dishes. Can also pair it with pasta, red and white meats.
