Wine Review: This clear and white gold colored Chardonnay from Carmen opens with a white peach, gardenia, and jasmine bouquet with hints of pastry crust and poached Anjou pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is a Bosc pear and green apple blend with notes of quince and green tea. We also detected hints of pineapple, saline, toasted almond, and a touch oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. We would pair this mouthwatering and crisp Chard with grilled halibut. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Pale yellow with greenish highlights, bright, and clean. On the nose, it shows a fresh and mineral profile, with notes of crisp white fruit such as pear and green apple, accompanied by citrus and floral nuances. A small percentage crafted under flor yeast adds aromatic complexity, evoking fresh almond and yeast notes that integrate seamlessly without overshadowing the fruit. On the palate, it presents vibrant, tense acidity that delivers energy and juiciness, balanced by good concentration and complexity. Notes of white fruit reappear, along with soft nutty hints and a subtle saline touch on the finish, characteristic of limestone soils. The finish is long, persistent, and juicy, inviting another sip. - Ana María Cumsille, Winemaker
