Wine Review: This pitch black colored blend opens with a mild black cherry and black licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy going. The flavor profile is a mild vanilla oak influenced gentle black raspberry with notes of minerlity. I also detected a hint of black cherry and plum. The finish is a dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a little while. This is a very good burger wine. I would pair it with a juicy Swiss and mushroom burger. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep crimson colour. The nose presents aromas of red and black fruit, with red currants and plums, and a little bit of mint and cedar. The bouquet fills out with notes of vanilla, spices and mocha from the French oak. On the palate, the texture is pleasant and well balanced. The tannins are refined and gentle. There is a pleasant sensation of softness in the mouth. This is a deep, flavourful wine which can be drunk now but which will reveal more of its character in three to five years.
