Wine Review: This vivid Argentinian Malbec is from a joint project of Nicolas Catena and Baron de Rothchild. In the glass it is a deep purple color and has evolving aromas of red plum, blueberry, earthy, smokey, wet granite and violets aromas. On the palate, it is quite smooth and dense, with medium body, bright plus acidity, good balance, and structure. The flavors are a blend of red raspberry, black pepper, blackberry, stone dust, and walnuts. There are fine tannins and dark fruit flavors in the moderate finish. Pair with a pub bacon cheeseburger. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: Deep reddish color. The nose shows a great aromatic intensity of white flowers, red fruits, and cherries. On the palate the wine is fresh, fruity, expressing a pleasant balance between acidity, tannins, and softness. The finish is long and delicate.
