Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Carol Shelton is a fruit bomb. It opens with an inviting black raspberry bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, juicy and full of life. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe blackberry and black licorice blend with hints of blueberry, black raspberry and oak. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and mild tannins fade away nicely. This Petite Sirah is food friendly and would pair well with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Inky blue-purple in color, lively black peppery spice on deep blue-blackberry fruit. Cedary oak spice, very dark chocolate, bit of warm vanilla at finish, structured tannins for aging.
