Wine Review: This clear and raspberry colored Zinfandel from Carol Shelton opens with a cinnamon and black raspberry bouquet with hints of cedar and R.C. Cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is juicy spiced black plum and black raspberry blend with notes of cedar and red licorice. We also detected hints of teaberry and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and mild dusty fine tannins linger before drifting away. We would pair this Zin with burnt ends. Enjoy - KWGTP
