Wine Review: This clear and medium red colored Zinfandel from the Collins-Limerick Lane Vineyard opens with a mild cola and red cherry bouquet with hints of strawberries and iris. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is red plum and red raspberry blend with notes of red cherry and cola. We also detected hints of vanilla, oak, clove, and stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins linger and last for a bit. This wine benefits from some aeration in the near term. We would decant this food friendly Zin for a bit before pairing it with a pork tenderloin or lamb lollipops. Enjoy - KWGTP
