Wine Review: This Chardonnay from Chamisal is a light warm golden yellow color. On the nose, it features banana, buttered popcorn, and ripe tropical fruit aromas. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, creamy and well-balanced. The flavor profile features lemon, with refreshing minerality, tropical fruit, limestone and faint notes of oak. It closes with a long, extended finish that drifts away nicely. Pair this Chard with grilled chicken with lemon, rosemary and garlic. – Karen & Stuart

Winemaker Notes: This full-bodied wine exhibits classic varietal characteristics with aromas of toasted oak and crème brulee. The entry is fruit driven with hints of lemon cream, Fuji apple, ripe pineapple and baked pear, leading to a rich and creamy mid-palate. Finishing clean with lingering acidity and broad texture, the wine is a beautiful example of Monterey County Chardonnay.
