Wine Review: This slightly opaque and deep ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Chappellet opens with an attractive black cherry-cola and strawberry bouquet with a hint of vanilla and clay pot. On the palate, this full bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a black cherry and flinty mineral blend with notes of cedar plank. We also detected hints of dried herbs mixed in. The finish is dry, gentle tannins and flavors drift away nicely. We would pair this very good Cab Franc with a veal chop. Enjoy – Ken
