Wine Review: This slightly opaque and medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Chappellet opens with a black raspberry and strawberry bouquet with a hint of rhubarb. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, delicate, layered, and round. The flavor profile is a black raspberry and spiced black plum blend with notes of pomegranate, strawberry, anise, and rhubarb. We also detected hints of black pepper, cherry, and loam. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with a grilled pork tenderloin or with a turkey leg. Enjoy – KWGTP
