Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Chappellet is exceptional! It opens with a gentle cassis and cigar box bouquet with hints of blackberry, eucalyptus, graphite, and spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is very well-balanced, super silky, and seamless. The flavor profile is very tasty graphite and mild cassis blend with notes of stewed red plum and cedar. We also detected hints of oolong tea, blackberry, dried herbs, and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors and polished fine tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with Chateaubriand at your favorite steak house. Enjoy - KWGTP
