Wine Review: This opaque and deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Chappellet opens with a black currant and cigar box bouquet with hints of oak, light blackberry, sandalwood, and graphite. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, super smooth, and plush. The flavor profile is an Australian soft black licorice and cassis blend with notes of black tea and oak. We also detected hints of graphite and blackberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty bold tannins stick around for a very long time. You can also sip this gem after a nice decant by the firepit. With food, we would pair this fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon with a well-marbled ribeye after decanting. Enjoy - KWGTP
