Wine Review: This yellowish white gold colored Jacquere from the Savoie region in France opens with a spiced pear and green apple bouquet with a hint of ginger. On the palate, it is light bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, really smooth, mouthwatering, and fresh. The flavor profile is a green apple and quince blend with notes of almond paste and lime. I also detected some hints of saline, white tea, and a touch of fennel. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this quaffable wine with linguini with a white wine clam sauce. - Ken
