Wine Review: This ruby colored Merlot from Charles Krug impressed the Tasting Panel. It opens with a fragrant green pepper bouquet with a hint of black pepper and strawberry rhubarb. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a black tea and mineral blend with notes of cherry and oak. We also detected hints of black licorice, black raspberry and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins show nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this nice wine with a filet mignon or veal milanese. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Our Napa Valley Merlot has expressive aromas of ripe red and black fruit followed by hints of spice. Supple body and medium tannins envelop flavors of berry and cherry, which linger on the palate through a long, smooth finish.
