Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from St. Emilion opens with a black cherry and vanilla bouquet with hints a black licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, rich, and extracted. The flavor profile is a macerated black cherry and stony dust blend notes of stewed plum. We also picked up some hints of mild raspberry tea. The finish is dry, and its polished dusty tannins are nicely extended. We would pair this wine with a New York strip steak. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Chateau-Figeac 2018, the Symphonie Fantastique. The greatness of this vintage is embodied by the amazing harmony between the round and enveloping Merlot, the fresh and elegant Cabernet Franc, and the lace-textured, tender Cabernet Sauvignon. The Chateau-Figeac 2018 delivers here the perfect chord from its famous three grape varieties.
