Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Chateauneuf du Pape from Fortia was one of my top selections from this year’s Boston Wine Expo. It opens with a mild black raspberry bouquet with a hint of new leather and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced, and silky smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild oak infused black cherry with notes of gentle minerality. The finish is dry and its moderate fine tannins are friendly. I would pair this very good CDP with a filet mignon in the near term. Enjoy – Ken
