Wine Review: This deep garnet colored Merlot based wine opens with a blueberry, graphite, and red cherry with hints of vanilla, plum, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, silky smooth and graceful. The flavor profile is graphite and black currant blend with notes of oolong tea and some black cherry. We also detected hints of loam, oak, and marzipan. The finish is dry, and its dusty moderate tannins are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this impressive St. Emilion based wine with a New York strip steak or a pot roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
