Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Chateauneuf-du-Pape from La Nerthe opens with a fragrant spiced plum and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty black plum and cherry blend with notes of minerality. We also detected hints of raspberry tea and mild strawberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are well-managed. The Panel suggested pairing this refined CDP with venison. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The dark, deep, inky color of the wine shows immediately the concentration of the vintage. Nose of black currants, black tea and dried flowers definitely stands out. The mouth is rich, fruity and velvety with an incredibly layered tannin structure. The wine is balanced, pure, really intense and long with incredible ageing potential. To drink with lamb or beef stew.
