Wine Review: This dark red colored wine from Lafleur opens with a funky mild cigar box and cherry bouquet. We also detected hints of tarragon, menthol and lavender as well. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, rather smooth, elegant and well-balanced. The flavor profile is a very tasty black cherry with notes of gentle graphite minerality and red plum. We also detected hints of black tea, oak, and black licorice. The finish is dry and its refined tannins drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this wine with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
