Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Merlot based wine from Nenin is Excellent. It opens with a macerated black cherry, black currant, and mild mulberry bouquet with hints of dark chocolate, blueberry, and new leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, structured, and opulent. The flavor profile is a complex blend of gentle graphite and mild black currant with notes of black cherry and green tea. We also detected hints of cedar, walnut, loam, and black licorice in the mix. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build-up nicely and stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine before pairing it with a dry-aged ribeye steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
