Wine Review: This cloudy light yellow colored white wine Chateauneuf du Pape was reviewed as a barrel sample. It opens with a fragrant honeydew melon like bouquet with a hint of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle apple and pear blend with notes of white pepper mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors last for quite some time. I fully expect that this wine is even better when bottled. It will pair nicely with halibut stuffed with imperial crab meat. Enjoy - Ken
