Wine Review: This white gold colored Pinot Gris from Washington State is a good value. It opens with a baked apple and wet stone bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a mineral infused mild Anjou pear with hints of ginger and faint tangerine. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Pinot Gris is food friendly and would pair well Emeril's crab cakes. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our Pinot Gris style falls between the lighter Italian Pinot Grigio and the richer, rounder Pinot Gris from Alsace. The Chateau Ste. Michelle Pinot Gris offers fresh flavors of juicy pear, melon and a hint of spice. This wine is a perfect match with scallops or halibut.
