Wine Review: This deep amber with an orange rim colored Sauternes from Chateau de Fargues has aged nicely. It opens with a brown sugar, marzipan and molasses bouquet with hints of quince and honey. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, nicely balanced, super smooth, viscous and rich. The flavor profile a very tasty rich honey flavor with notes of pleasant plump raisin, baked quince, coconut and green tea. We also detected a hint of toasted pecan mixed in. The finish drifts away nicely. This dessert wine is drinking quite well right now. We would pair enjoy this Excellent wine with a nice slice of pecan pie or crepes Suzette. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Chateau de Fargues 2005: An absolutely brilliant vintage in Sauternes. Nothing is excessive and, despite the wine's richness, everything is in balance.
