Wine Review: This bright red colored Gamay from Moulin a Vent opens with a raspberry and potting soil bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and rich. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of concentrated red cherry and red currant along with some notes of cinnamon. I also detected some hints of green olive, triple sec, and faint pomegranate towards the very end. The finish is dry and its flavor and gentle acidity and tannins drift away nicely. This wine is a very nice summer red. I would serve it slightly cool (Like right out of the wine cellar) with a grilled salmon salad on a warm summer day. Enjoy - Ken
