Wine Review: This dark red colored wine from the Moulin-a-Vent commune opens with a cherry and pomegranate bouquet with hints of violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is a pomegranate, loam, and juicy strawberry blend with notes of red currant. I also detected hints of red licorice and black pepper. The finish is dry and very refreshing due to its bright acidity. I would pair this Gamay with Tuscan wild boar ragu with pappardelle pasta. Enjoy - Ken
