Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah based blend from Chronic Cellars open with a pleasant boysenberry and plum bouquet with hints of moist pipe tobacco and black olive. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced, velvety and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a spiced plum and gentle black cherry blend with notes of toasty oak and minerality. We also detected hints of bacon, black pepper, clove and blueberry at the very end. The finish fades away nicely. This wine is not very complex, but it is enjoyable and would pair with many foods. We also described it as quite quaffable and a good value party blend! We would pair it with thick and juicy sliders off the grill on a Tuesday night. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Tip your hat to Rhone Royalty! We’ve included all the right players in this elegant and savory blend that weaves together a zing of black pepper, luscious black and blue fruits and cool, earthy flavors. Round and full, the scales of acidity are balanced by approachable tannins and a touch of baking spices. Pair with a grilled gyro kebab.
