Wine Review: This light ruby colored Pinot Noir from Clarice opens with a wet stone and black cherry bouquet with hints of black plum, oak, vanilla, and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, structured, and sturdy. The flavor profile is a crushed stone and stewed red plum blend with notes of oak, mushroom, and raspberry tea. We also detected hints of craisin and cherry in the background. The finish is quite dry and its dusty tannins build-up and last for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this Pinot before serving it with duck confit or an herb crusted rack of lamb.
