Wine Review: This dark red colored Mourvedre from Contra Costa County is very good. It opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with a hint of craisin. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle cedar and mulberry blend with notes of chalky minerality and oolong tea. I also picked up a hint of red cherry. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. I would pair this Mourvedre with your favorite juicy bacon burger. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This Mourvèdre opens with aromas of plum, cranberry, cedar, and vanilla. The flavors are plum, cranberry, pomegranate, lilac, tangerine, and lightly toasted oak with a persistent finish.
