Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Brunello di Montalcino from Col d'Orcia opens with a red cherry and black olive bouquet with hints cedar and raisin. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced tart red cherry and graphite blend with notes of red plum and tobacco. I also detected hints of oolong tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins are extended for quite some time. I would pair this Brunello with an Italian briciole. Enjoy - Ken
