Wine Review: This ruby colored Sangiovese based wine opens with a cedar and gentle red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and dusty. The flavor profile is a loam, black tea, and mild black cherry blend with hints of red plum and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its very dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. I would pair this wine with veal saltimbocca. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The dominant flavor is the extreme elegance of the Sangiovese with charming cherry notes combined with dark fruits and the complexity of Cabernet; the typical acidity and the body are perfectly integrated, it's linear, dry, persistent and shows a nice balance. The Montecucco Rosso Riserva carries the name of the Estate, it represents the essence of our production: a wine for any palate, ripe and complex with smooth tannins. Suitable with Pasta with tomato or meat sauce, red meats from the barbecue, and sausages.
