Wine Review: This medium purple colored Malbec opens with a smoky meat, blackberry and black plum bouquet hints of mint, wet straw, and iron shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and a little rustic. The flavor profile is graphite and oak influenced red plum with notes of black licorice and oolong tea. We also detected hints of boysenberry. The finish is dry and its grippy tannins stick around for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Malbec with juicy blue cheeseburger or a steak burrito. Enjoy – KWGTP
