Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Syrah from Washington State opens with a musty black currant bouquet with hints of old leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant with notes of integrated minerality and a touch of blueberry and oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are slightly sticky. This entry level Syrah is a good value. I would pair it with a Five Guys bacon cheeseburger with sauteed mushrooms. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Elegant smoky tones lead to notes of spice, blueberry, dried herbs and hints of spice. The supple texture is complemented by notes of cedar and dark fruits and pepper.
