Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Merlot opened with a mild boysenberry bouquet with a hint of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very easy to enjoy. The flavor profile is a tasty oak infused black raspberry with a hint of blackberry and touch of red currant. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors are slightly prolonged. This Merlot is a nice everyday offering and would pair perfectly with a juicy burger. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The H3 Merlot opens with aromas of raspberries, black pepper and earthy tones which lead to flavors of chocolate covered cherries and plum preserves on the silky smooth palate. The flavors and aromas culminate in an intense – yet elegant – finish. Mild to intensely flavored dishes such as grilled salmon, roasted lamb, wild game, and balsamic or tomato-based sauces work well with the jammy flavors of Merlot.
