Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot from the Horse Heaven Hills opens with a cherry vanilla and mild blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and oak blend with hints of root beer. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This unique Merlot would be a perfect bistro wine to serve with a juicy Angus burger. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This medium-bodied Merlot delivers aromas of spice and blackberry, with a perfect balance of earth, cocoa and ripe cherry flavors with a rich, velvety finish. Food Pairings: Mild to intensely flavored dishes such as grilled salmon, roasted lamb, wild game, and balsamic or tomato-based sauces work well with the jammy flavors of Merlot.
