Wine Review: Another very good value from H3! This ink red colored Merlot opens with an inviting blackberry, cedar and raspberry chocolate bouquet. This full-bodied Merlot is slightly bigger than your typical Merlot but in this case it is not a drawback at all. The palate displays smooth plum, blackberry, chocolate and oak flavors with some nice spices mixed in. I enjoyed the layered structure, balanced tannins and full mouthfeel. The finish is slightly dry with some cherry flavors that faded away nicely. This Merlot is food friendly and I would pair it with a beef bolognese with fettuccine. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: This medium-bodied Merlot delivers aromas of spice and blackberry with the perfect balance of earth, cocoa and ripe cherry notes on the palate. The complex flavors are followed by a smooth, velvety finish. Pair with roasted lamb or wild game.
