Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Sangiovese based wine from Italy is very good. It opens with a red cherry and faint oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. It displays very nice fruit flavors including mild black cherry and light black plum. There is also some nicely integrated gentle oak and minerality. There is also a touch of black licorice in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and it would pair well with many Italian dishes. I would choose beef braciole. Enjoy - Ken
