Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Cabernet based blend opens with a fragrant black cherry and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced, and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a very ripe black cherry jam with notes of nicely integrated old vanilla oak. I also detected hints of black currant, anise, and black pepper. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and moderate tannins are prolonged and rather sticky. This really nice Cabernet blend is still very young. I would decant it and pair it with a ribeye steak from Grill 23. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2009 Continuum is a magnificent and deeply sensual wine. The majority of the fruit, more than 80%, is from our Pritchard Hill estate vineyards. The 2009 is lush, rich and elegant showing supple, complex tannins layered with graphite and autumnal notes, all leading to an impressive extended finish. A wine of wonderful power and elegance, the 2009's inherent harmony and finesse make it delicious now, while assuring tremendous ageabilty. For the fullest sensory experience we encourage decanting, allowing Continuum to breathe before serving. Decanting awakens the wine's more purely fragrant expression and enhances the suppleness of the palate.
