Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Cornell is excellent! It opens with a lemon verbena and pineapple bouquet with hints of white tea. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is a green tea and saline blend with notes of pineapple and lime. We also detected hints of stone fruit. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. We would pair this Chard with swordfish kabobs with a mango salsa. Enjoy - Ken & Stuart
Winemaker Notes: Our 2025 Chardonnay reflects our founder Henry Cornell’s passion for crisp and mineral-laden white wines reminiscent of those highly regarded from Burgundy. Aromas of lemon mousse, white jasmine, and early spring stone fruits are complemented by subtle notes of crushed oyster shells and sun-warmed river rocks, evoking idyllic summer ocean side lunches. The palate is invigorated with vibrant, mouthwatering acidity and refined texture, inviting another sip.
