Wine Review: This clear and dark red colored Pinot Noir from Cristom opens with a stony minerality and dried strawberry bouquet with hints of black raspberry, cigar box, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The pretty complex flavor profile features a black tea and black raspberry blend with notes of mushrooms, stone dust, and lingonberry. We also detected hints of tobacco, black pepper, and clove. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate sticky tannins show nice length. We would pair this Oregon Pinot with the Silver Palate chicken marbella or with a smoked pork shoulder. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Pronounced floral aromas of rose and lavender are layered with blue fruit and plum, accented by subtle hints of earth. The palate is well balanced with fresh acidity, showcasing tart cherry and raspberry flavors.
