Wine Review: This blackish purple colored Malbec from Cahors opens with a black currant, black olive and flint stone bouquet. On the palate, palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, acidic and savory. The flavor profile is mild mineral infused olive and black plum blend with notes of black tea integrated throughout. I also detected a hint of blackberry. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors linger nicely. This solid Malbec would pair well with a Daube. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Dark garnet color. Fresh aromas of violet, cherry blossom and wild flowers seamlessly blend with red and black fruit such as Burlat cherry and blackcurrant jam, finishing with a hint of spice. The palate is smooth, giving black cherry, fresh raspberry and ripe blueberry flavors, finishing with firm tannins and bright acidity.
