Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Cabernet from Napa opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with a hint of black raspberry and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, lush, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a rich and ripe black raspberry with notes of black currant and black licorice. I also detected hints of blueberry and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its sticky tannins linger for quite sometime. This impressive Cab would pair very nicely with a thick cowboy ribeye steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The long cool growing season of 2009 has provided us with a spectacularly elegant, supple Moose Valley Cabernet. The aromatics are resoundingly St. Helena in expression, with notes of raspberry, black cherry, anise, and milk chocolate spilling out of the glass. The palate is full of the charm and richness always present in the wines from this vineyard, with deep flavors and real complexity, while the tannins are fully buffered by the sweet fruit. The finish is strong and lingering, promising a long life ahead.
