Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from Davis Bynum opens with fragrant oak influenced pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is an oak influenced spiced pear and lemon blend with notes of butter. I also detected hints of almond and touch of pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors linger. This rich styled Chardonnay would pair well with roasted butternut squash ravioli with sage, hazelnut and brown butter sauce. – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2016 Davis Bynum Chardonnay has beautiful aromas of toasted sesame, marzipan, Meyer lemon and baked apple. On the palate the wine opens with toasty brioche, hazelnut and baking spices, with a lush finish that is balanced with acidity and a rich creaminess. Enjoy this Chardonnay with creamy cheeses, vegetable raviolis or grilled veal chops and mushrooms.
