Wine Review: This slightly opaque and deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Davis Estates opens with a fragrant black currant and cigar box bouquet with hints of cherry-cola and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is black currant and cedar blend with notes stony minerality, dark chocolate, and black licorice. We also detected hints of black tea and blackberry. The finish is dry and its big and bold dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine for a very long time as it benefits from some air. Then We would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with a well-marbled ribeye or pot roast. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Davis Estates Napa Valley Cabernet is an amazing example of what we are trying to do with this wine! It brings together elements of the vintage and characteristics of the fantastic vineyards and appellations from which we source fruit. The color is dark purple, with a crimson vibrancy in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, Burgundy plum, and cherry are framed by soft notes of toasted oak. Upon tasting, you discover a full-bodied wine with supple texture and delicate tannins, lively flavors of cassis, cherry, and plum, and beautiful spice heightened by barrel aging.
