Wine Review: This dark gold colored Chardonnay from Stellenbosch is very good. It opens with a fragrant oak, pear and pineapple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and concentrated. The flavor profile mirrors the nose and features oak influenced pineapple and pear. I also detected notes of honey and a hint of butterscotch and clove. The finish is dry and its flavors and pleasant acidity are nicely prolonged. The Chard is bold enough to enjoy on its own. With food, I would serve it with lobster with drawn butter. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: An elegant golden color with green hues, this Chardonnay displays aromas of toasted brioche with zesty marmalade. A backbone of lime and lemongrass with floral notes of honeysuckle and frangipani materialize on the palate. Warm, rich vanilla and an almond nuance linger on the finish.
