Wine Review: This coral colored Rose from New Zealand is made from Pinot Noir grapes. It opens with a musty strawberry and watermelon bouquet with a hints of orange slices and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a mild chalky mineral influenced faint red cherry with hint of green melon, herbs and citrus. The finish is dry and refreshing. This Rose is a good value offering to serve slightly chilled by the pool on a hot summer day. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The wine has a soft pink salmon hue ranging into an apricot color. White flowers on the nose with peach, stone fruit, and mineral notes opening up to aromas of cantaloupe, honey dew, manuka and talcum. The front palate is soft and rich with lush cheeks. The mid palate adds a bit of baking spice and brambly fruit. The finish is bright and crisp making this rosé an excellent for a range of food pairings like Vietnamese Pho or grilled salmon with lemon herb butter.
