Wine Review: This bright yellow colored Chardonnay from Diatom opens with a pineapple and ginger bouquet with a hint of lemon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and fresh. The flavor profile is a lemon tart with notes of pineapple and gentle minerality. I also detected some hints of clementine. The finish is dry and refreshing. This wine would be a nice summer alternative for Chard fans while on the beach. It would pair well with a bucket of fried clams from the clam shack. Enjoy - Ken
