Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Pinot Noir opens with a smoky oak and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced, savory and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe black plum and oak blend with notes black olive, boysenberry jam and a touch of Slim Jim and black cherry in the end. The finish is dry and it fruit flavors and gentle acidity are nicely prolonged. This Pinot has a South African twist to it. It would pair well with a Colorado lamb chop. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Attractive and rich, with dark red-violet hues. The 2014 Estate Pinot Noir shows its power with ripe aromas of earthiness and fruit: blackberry and wet forest floor with cinnamon and cardamom spice.
