Wine Review: This pale coral colored Sparkling Wine from Domaine Carneros displays both tiny and medium sized steaming bubbles. It opens with a strawberry and ash bouquet with hints of red raspberry and cheese rind. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and easy going. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and tart cherry blend with notes of saline and walnut. I also detected a hint of ruby red grapefruit. The finish is dry and it flavors drift away nicely. This Sparkler would pair well with shrimp cocktail. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The wine's aroma, delivered on a delicate mousse, hints of strawberry, tangerine, orange blossom, marmalade, and potpourri. The palate displays peach, apricot, watermelon and a touch of underlining honey for a soft, delicate mouthfeel and a smooth, long finish. Despite its color, it is a true Brut – as dry as our other wines. Exceedingly food-friendly, pairs well with salmon, and fresh berries.
