Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Cotes du Rhone is a terrific bargain. It opens with red cherry, new leather and oak like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. It displays very nice juicy blueberry and cassis flavors with well integrated gentle oak. I also detected a hint of espresso and a little black cherry on the back palate. The finish is dry and its dusty oak tannins stick around for quite a while. This wine is a very good every day red. It would pair very nicely with a bacon burger or Theresa’s homemade meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
