Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend from Chateauneuf du Pape opens with an old school bouquet of new leather and a touch of barnyard and cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, rather smooth and well balanced. Its flavor profile is a spicy black raspberry with notes of nicely integrated oak and black pepper. I also detected a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its very dusty tannins are quite sticky and linger for a very long time. This wine would pair well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
